Today's world automotive businesss climate is demanding more cost effective, higher strength, weight/designs than ever before. Engineering coverage factors are shrinking and, at the same time. designs are becoming more robust. Subsequently, manufacturing processes without quantified benefit/cost ratio are being discarded. Those processes that are utilized are required to statistically demonstrate acceptable product performance.
