Abstract:  
A centrifugal blasting wheel is provided with throwing surfacesd curved at their inner ends to provide a surface for initial contact with particulate material being thrown. The surfaces are thus traveling in a plane subsantially corresponding to the plane to which the particulate material is being propelled onto the blades in order to effect a smoother and more efficient transfer of material to the surface of the blades.
