Abstract:  
A magnetic separator is disclosed suitable for incorporation in a surface teatment device, such as, a particulate throwing whel employing a rebound system to recycle the particulate. The separator includes a porous rotating drum having a set of magnets therebeneath to attract ferromagnetic particulate. A portion of the drum is pressurized so that nonmagnetic debuis intermingled with the particulate is blown free and conveyed to a dust collector.
