Abstract:  
Impact device comprising a housing with a rotable impeller located eccentrically therein. The impeller includes masses located in radial apertures which, upon rotation of the impeller, are caused to strike the head of an impact tool extending at least partially into the cavity within the housing formed by the eccentric location of the impeller.
