Portable air-blast systems that "vacuum" abrasives from the work surface are now available from Empire Abrasive Equipment Company, a leading producer of abrasive air-blast systems and equipment. These Blast N'Vac units contain, retrieve and recycle abrasives at the focus point of the blast nozzle, thereby reducing media and labor costs in addition to the environmental risks associated with incontained abrasive blasting. Savings in media costs alone can be substantial through recycling of durable abrasives up to 200 times.
