Abstract:  
The Barcelona workshop was held on May 10 and 11 at the Technical University of Catalonia. The event was a collaboration between Materias Primas Abrasivas, S.L. (MPA), the Technical University of Catalonia, Electronics, Inc. and Peen Service. The workshop was well-attended and the exhibitors, attendees and instructors enjoyed the opportunity to share information. Dr. Francisco Gil, with the University, was the keynote speaker. He presented his paper "The effect of shot blasting and heat treatment on the fatigue behaviour of titanium for dental implant applications." MPA worked with the University in the development of titanium dental implants-the two organizations enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship and share equipment and technical information.
